Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. I had a slow start this morning. Like really slow start. I sat on my couch for a good while just trying to wake up. But I’ve had my coffee, I’ve taken my pictures, and now I am ready to share with you all what’s in my kitchen.
I am not an expert chef in any sense and the things I use on a daily basis reflects that. So if you’re looking for simple and basic kitchen gadgetry, this is the place for you. I think my Instant Pot is about as high tech as I get in the kitchen. Despite all that, I wanted to write this post for all of those who are like me: amateur cooks just trying to find their way around the kitchen. People who work on providing decent and delicious meals for those they love. Whether you’re ten or fifty, please, step into my kitchen. Sort of.
Short note: This is a No Ad post. I do give brand names on the devices I use, but it’s only because they’re what I use. I have no affiliation with any of these companies and will not receive any commissions for posting about them. Just so you know.
- Coffee Pot
I decided I had to put this in here as it is the first thing I use Every. Single. Day. I need my coffee in the morning. This is a 12 oz single serve Keurig that my husband bought for me two Christmases ago. Before this we had a Hamilton Beach coffee maker that was wonderful. Until it wasn’t. This one came with a Pod canister (that thing on the left) that fits just under the spout when we’re not in use. Space Saver! The black device peeking behind it is a coffee grinder we bought when we had our other machine. We don’t use it as much anymore, but it did come in handy in the beginning when I thought I’d rather grind up coffee beans and put them in a reusable coffee pod.
Whenever I want a cup of quick tea, I rinse the machine out and then use it to dispense water in my cup.
2. Instant Pot
I’m sure you know by now that we recently acquired an Instant Pot. I won’t say much on it today, but it is an excellent addition to our kitchen. I am still amazed at how little time it takes to make meals when using it. Dinners that would usually take me over an hour to make now take less than an hour. And since we have the air fryer combo, chicken and french fries are a lot faster and taste better than when we used the deep fryer. Can I go so far as to say they’re healthier too?
I know what you’re thinking. This girl likes the color red. I cannot say I am against it, my car is red, too, but the number of red devices is merely a coincidence.
My mom bought this grill for me a few years ago and I use it almost every time I make burgers. We’ve also used it a time or two to grill chicken when it was too cold outside. It also came with a griddle plate and a muffin plate, which I have admittedly not used in the whole time I’ve owned it. Oops. I learned how to make burgers on a countertop grill when I was younger and consider it one of my specialties along with spaghetti. The main thing I like about this grill is that the plates are removable which makes them a whole lot easier to wash. We had a smaller one before this but the plates were not removable and it was a pain to clean up. So if you get a countertop grill, get one with removable plates. Trust me.
4. Pots and Pans
I do have a whole set of pots and pans in rose gold, but these three are the ones we use most often. They are all non-stick which is a must for easy cooking and easier clean up. The Rose Gold set is a Philippe Richard set my MIL found at Ross and gave to me one year on my birthday. The downside to the rose gold set is that it is not dishwasher safe so I have to hand wash it. Not my favorite thing to do but I’ve gotten used to it. The black pan is T-Fal brand and the hubby bought it at Walmart, I believe. It is the smoothest non-stick pan I have ever owned and consider it worth every penny. I still want to buy another one, it’s that good.
I have a whole drawer full of spoons and spatulas, but these four are what I reach for the most when cooking. No matter what I’m cooking. Granted, I do use a regular spatula when cooking something like eggs. However, the spatula pictured is perfect for cooking meat, especially ground meat. I really don’t have a lot to say on this section as they’re each pretty self explanatory. I just think they’re great and a look into my kitchen wouldn’t be complete without them since they’re just as important as the other devices I use.
So there’s a small look into what’s in my kitchen. I use at least one of these things every day. The only other thing I use just as much would be my cutting board and I am in the process of buying a new one. Also measuring cups, but everyone has those, right?
What is something you use every day to cook with? What is your favorite Kitchen Gadget? Do you prefer Coffee or Tea?
