I ask myself this question a lot. A lot, a lot. Any day. As a SAHM with very few places to be, sometimes it’s hard to actually keep track of the days. Mondays are dance days so I’m usually good there, except last season our dance day was Wednesday so now I think every Tuesday is Thursday and it just goes downhill from there. So yeah, I found myself asking this question and realizing that it is indeed Friday. I thought it was Thursday. Does anyone else have this problem?
I’m trying my hand at making soup from scratch today. As a novice in cooking, I’m used to Can of Soup or Ramen Noodles. Unfortunately, with our new diet restrictions, Ramen noodles are out. I chopped up some carrots, zucchini, and yellow bell pepper this morning in preparation. I have some cherry tomatoes that I may add as well. The big question is chicken or beef? I’m leaning towards beef simply because it’s faster to cook, but I don’t have any beef broth? I read that using chicken broth will be fine though it may have a different taste. Eh. Oh well. I’m cold and it’s rainy so a pot of homemade soup is perfect. Chili also sounds good but I don’t have all of the ingredients for it.
Of course I have to ask what your favorite rainy day/cold weather go-to meal is? Recipes would be welcome (bonus points if they’re allergen free). I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. If it’s rainy in your area and you have nothing better to do then I suggest picking up a good book to read.
